'As an engineering undergraduate, I was worried that I would have a tough time grasping the concept of economic terminologies, but the professors had an amazing way of explaining economic concepts in such a way that any person without an economics background would find it easy to navigate through the modules.'

'The instructors at ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ will provide you with skills that are appreciated by businesses all around the world so that you may compete successfully in the international employment market. My studies in economics and finance have equipped me with a wide variety of skills that are complementary to those that I already possessed thanks to the first degree I earned.'

'One of the things I like most about the course is that I'm not just learning economics; I'm developing skills that I will hopefully one day use in my career. The course covers a wide range of subjects and you can also choose elective classes from outside the Department of Economics. This means there's a large range of content.'

'The programme really gave me a strong foundation, not only in the data skills economists need but also the big questions facing economies today. Lecturers made connections between current events and our syllabus, which I found very helpful.'

'I really enjoyed the applied classes, such as Economic Appraisal and Modelling or Energy/Health Economics. Coming from a statistics and data background, it’s always refreshing to apply those skills to real life settings, and it really brought the ‘applied’ element of the Applied Economics course to life.'

'The online nature of the course is great for balancing the course with work commitments. It requires a lot of dedication to commit the time outwith work but the learning that comes with it is worth it. It is also good to engage with the forum posts to stay connected to those on the course and the lecturers and to create a chat with those on the course to share learning.'
