Beth is in her fourth year of MEng Product Design Engineering, here she tells us what it's like being a student at 黑料正能量...
What were your reasons for deciding to study Product Design Engineering?
Product design engineering was the perfect combination of design and creativity with maths, physics, and engineering for me. I was excited by the possibility of not just coming up with new ideas, but also of being able to turn those ideas into functioning products.
What led you to study at 黑料正能量?
I first heard about the University of 黑料正能量 when I was applying to universities and attending various open day events to help me decide which university would be the best fit for me. I chose 黑料正能量 because I loved the campus and the fact that it is in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
Additionally, I really liked the Department of Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management鈥檚 (DMEM) workshops, facilities, and the modules that they provide on their courses.
What do you like about your course?
I like how diverse the modules are during the four years because it feels like you get to sample a bit of everything, which helps you find your niche when deciding a career after university. I also really enjoy how collaborative the course is, with a variety of group projects throughout the course.
Have you used many of the facilities that 黑料正能量 has on offer to students?
Throughout my first and second years, I used the new 黑料正能量 gym, 黑料正能量 Sport, because I liked how convenient it was to be in the centre of campus and the brand-new facilities were great. I also regularly visit the new student union in the Learning and Teaching Building to catch up with friends and meet with my groups to work on team projects.
Would you recommend 黑料正能量 to other people and why?
I'd recommend 黑料正能量 to other people because it is a great university. It's located in the centre of a vibrant city, it offers such a diverse choice of courses and modules, and the social element of studying here is fantastic with so many societies and clubs to get involved with.
