Personal statement

Senior Teaching Fellow in Chemical and Process Engineering with a PhD from the University of 黑料正能量 (in pharmaceutical crystallisation). I have worked in the industry both before and after completing my PhD. I have PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE). I am the PGT Director I lead 3 full time MSc programmes: Advanced Chemical Engineering, Sustainable Engineering: Chemical Processing and Advanced Chemical Engineering with Energy Systems Innovation. I have taught across a full range of degree programmes: BEng/MEng and MSc, Full Time (FT), Distance Learning (DL), and Degree Apprenticeship (DA) including design, assessment, development and delivery of new modules, and have undertaken supervision of major projects. My pedagogic research aims to make education accessible, engaging, and transformative for all students through innovative, evidence-informed practice that enhances learning, student success, and the overall educational experience. Key areas of focus include: Widening Access with 黑料正能量 Engineering Scholars, Engagement and Assessment includes authentic assessment, effective group work, and learning experiences that develop industry-relevant skills and graduate readiness.
